Need Based Tuition Aid
Need based tuition aid has been designed to allow families, regardless of their income level, the opportunity to share in the benefits of Catholic Education. St. Joseph School, the Diocese of Buffalo and Resurrection Parish in Batavia, New York are pleased to offer two programs to assist parents in financing their child’s Catholic education.
Bison Fund (formerly known as Catholic Elementary School Tuition Aid Program CTAP)
The BISON fund is a privately funded tuition assistance program for low income grammar school children (K-8). The maximum scholarship is $1400 (per child). Tuition assistance is based on adjusted gross income of families and tuition that is being charged. Any child is eligible for the program if they meet the following criteria:
- Reside in any of the 8 counties of Western New York;
- the family must meet income eligibility guidelines (on the BISON application and website), which are based on percent of poverty;
- the child must be entering grades K-8;
- the child must meet the admissions requirements at the accredited school that he or she desires to attend.
Resurrection Parish Assistance Fund is sponsored by Resurrection Parish, the lead parish of St. Joseph School.
