Technology & Makerspace NewsTechnology
All students will be  learning/reinforcing Internet Safety and Digital Citizenship. Kindergarten and first grade students will continue coding and teaching their monster to read on their  IPads.  They will continue to explore a variety of educational apps including  early robotics, block coding and still motion. 
Students in grades 2-6 will be reinforcing and developing new skills for success utilizing all Google Apps.  In addition, students will work on mastering keyboarding techniques throughout the school year.   

Makerspace
Students in all grades will continue exploring engineering concepts by participating in hands-on multifaceted activities and challenges.   We will focus on the 4 C’s of Engineering Design.

Grade 6 will be building and testing their cardboard boats the last week in January. 
Grade 5 and 6 will be researching and constructing balsa wood bridges for the 2026 Tech Wars Competition.
Grade 2-4 will be working on electrical circuits and designing interactive projects with paper circuits.
Kindergarten and Grade 1 will focus on creativity and collaboration working in teams to complete various stem challenges.
