Thank you for visiting my SJRS teacher page. I am honored to be the school's music teacher and be a part of this excellent community at SJRS! I've been teaching for over 30 years, and hope to keep going for another 30!
 
My goal is to educate, motivate, encourage and enrich students' lives through active music making experiences. Music can help us all experience positivity, joy, and cultivate a lifelong interest and appreciation for the arts.

Music News

All classes K-6 attend general music class once a week for 30-45 minutes. Class time includes focusing on a music concept or topic from the curriculum, as well as singing time.

Instrumental lesson sign-ups
SJRS has a variety of musical instruments for students in grades 5-6 to learn to play throughout the school year. Students are able to participate in a weekly lesson group, as well as play in an end of the year musical showcase.

Music Incentives
All students in grades 4,5,6 have the opportunity to participate in group lessons at various times throughout the year, learning the guitar, ukulele, or piano keyboard.
