What a busy and exciting year we are having making music at St. Joseph School!

Pre-K, Kindergarten, First and Second Grades continue to learn musical concepts and we’re having a lot of fun singing, playing instruments and moving to music in music class.

Third, Fourth and Fifth grades are diligently learning to play the recorder.

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades are continuing their study of the History of Music as well as learning new music to enhance our school liturgies.

In all grades we are continuing to work on music for our Spring Concerts.

In both Choirs we are preparing for upcoming weekly liturgies as well as performances at Catholic Schools Week Mass, May Crowning and First Communion.

Eleven students in Sixth, Seventh and Eighth grades sang solos at the GWMEA Vocal Solo Festival in January. Three students received scores of OUTSTANDING and eight students received scores of EXCELLENT!

Eighth of our Fifth and Sixth grade students were chosen to represent St. Joseph School in the GWMEA Elementary All County Chorus.

Four of our Seventh and Eighth grade students were chosen to represent St. Joseph School in the GWMEA Junior High All County Chorus.
