Health Services News
A child who is sick will not be able to perform well in school and is likely to spread the illness to other children and staff. We suggest making a plan for childcare ahead of time so you will not be caught without a comforting place for your child to stay if he/she is ill.
Our school policy states that you should not send your child to school if he/she has:
If your child does stay home, please notify the school. A note will be required upon their return.
Over the Counter Medications
Per the school policy handbook and NYS Health law:
If your child is to receive medication at school, whether OTC or prescription it is required that you get a written order from the physician to the Health Office, as well as the medication. If you have previously sent in a note written by a parent, this will not be accepted.
Please remind your child that there is NO MEDICATION ALLOWED TO BE CARRIED IN SCHOOL OR TO BE TAKEN ON THEIR OWN WITHOUT A WRITTEN ORDER FROM THEIR DR.
