Why a Catholic Education Matters
Character development is just as important as content mastery. I believe Catholic schools are better able to provide this character education as well as providing a strong academic background. A solid faith-based foundation helps to nurture a better sense of how we fit into the greater picture of the world. I am thrilled to be able to work in an environment that provides such a well-rounded approach to education.

Welcome to Pre-Algebra and Algebra!
I am available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings for extra help. I am in my room starting at 7:30 until the end of homeroom.
There is also a great free website called Kahn academy (www.khanacademy.org/math/algebra-home) that can be quite helpful. Some material is at cost but most of what we do can be found for free.
The courses' corrections policy is: corrections may be completed on almost all of the graded assignments, quizzes, and tests. Corrections must be on separate paper and stapled to the original before handing in. Students may earn-back up-to half of their points by doing this. They also have an opportunity for extra credit by tutoring students during the RTI (Response To Intervention) time on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The most important thing to stress is that this course is challenging, students will have to work hard to keep up. They may become frustrated but that is normal. Please encourage your student to keep at it. Most of the material in Algebra may seem difficult at first but if they keep plugging it will click!
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions/concerns.
