St. Joseph School teachers welcome and encourage communication with families regarding all aspects of a student's development.
Why a Catholic Education Matters
I feel it is important to teach the whole child including mind, body, and soul. At St. Joseph Regional School, the administration is very supportive and I feel I am trusted to do what is best for each child. The parents are an important part of school life.

Hello ! My name is Mrs. Elizabeth Hofmaster. I have been teaching here at St. Joseph Regional School for over 25 years. Catholic Education is my passion. I cannot imagine teaching little people without including God in our everyday lives. The theme of my classroom is FROG. (Fully Rely On God)
I am looking forward to the 2020-2021 school year. I am ready to teach my little Happy Hoppers everything they need to know in order to be successful students in the future. My philosophy is and always has been "learning through play". In my classroom students explore the world through hands-on activities. Our activities each day include whole group and small group time. We learn to cooperate, take turns, use kind words, and apologize for any unkind behavior.
We learn to forgive each other just as Jesus forgives us. We learn about letters and numbers, engineering and geometry, patterning and sequencing. We learn Mother Goose Nursery Rhymes and familiar fairy tales i.e. “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”.
We go to the Richmond Memorial Library once a week. We participate in Computer class and Physical Education on a weekly basis. We also attend First Friday Mass with our school.
We learn to pray everyday and thank God for His many blessings. We hear a little bit of God’s Word from the Bible daily. We learn about the true meaning of Christmas and Easter. We prepare and perform a Christmas program and live Stations of the Cross during Lent before Easter.
As you can see we are a busy bunch of Happy Hoppers. We use the bundle of energy God gave us to help us learn in constructive meaningful ways.
Get ready to HOP into my classroom! See you soon!
