Third Grade News
Spring is an exciting time in 3rd grade!
In Science we are studying a unit on "Invisible Forces", where we learn about cause and effect relationships of electric and magnetic interactions, and the forces of gravity and friction!. We will also close the year with a unit on "Butterflies", where students will explore the phenomenon of Monarch migration to Mexico and the life cycle of butterflies.
In Math we are learning about fractions and noticing connections to our everyday life and how we use fractions daily. Who doesn't love a good piece of pizza or to bake a batch of brownies?!
Social Studies has been interesting learning about the world. We will continue to learn about Kenya, China, and "Making a Difference" in the world.
All of these studies will help build on our reading and writing skills, an important part of our curriculum, as well as our writing informative, narrative, and opinion texts.
We are enjoying to a fun and exciting third trimester!
